Love The Vehicle, However intermittent noise - 2017 Lexus RX 350
By Ron - August 19 - 12:20 pmPurchased Vehicle March 11, 2017. I Love The RX350 AWD. Lexus did a great job with this vehicle. I have just one irritant, there is a intermittent noise or vibration that occurs from time to time with no associated speed or condition. Every time I took it to the dealership and went on the test drive with the technician the noise did not occur and we drove the vehicle under all sorts of condition for more than an hour. So we have not been able to duplicate the issue currently. For now the noise has stopped. My fear is that it will comeback, I just wish I could get the noise to occur with the tech in the car. Ill just have to wait and see if it returns again. Over all Im thrilled and love this vehicle. RLP.

A Completely Different RX - 2017 Lexus RX 350
By Mighty Mike - July 12 - 10:45 pmDisclaimer - I apologize for one, long paragraph (I cant get the character return to work in the Edmunds review no matter how hard I try!). While I dont want to discount other peoples experiences, I am trying to understand some of the criticism of this car. We previously leased a 2015 RX; when the dealer provided us with a 2016 loaner for a few days, we used the opportunity for the ultimate test drive. Our decision was easy - as much as we loved the refinement of the third generation RX, the fourth generation provided a more rugged durability that makes it an "everyday" car rather than a "night on the town" car. We have driven our 2017 RX for three months, and have put it through every type of driving condition except snow - in-city, suburban, freeway, winding two-lane highway, rain (lots of that here in the Pacific Northwest). We have hauled around three adult passengers for extended periods. Each time, the vehicle has performed well, and everyone has commented on their comfort. I have carefully listened for engine vibration that so many other owners have mentioned between 1,500 and 2,000 RPM, and I just dont hear it. The car is certainly "throatier" than the previous RX, but I expected that to come with the edgier, sportier handling that was lacking. At speed, this RX is just as silent but handles better and provides better viewing angles from the drivers seat. My partner recently said, "I thought Id miss our old car, but I dont." Neither do I. PROS: safety technology, cabin comfort, interior quiet, panoramic moonroof (option), Mark Levinson sound system (option), increased handling, automation (parking brake, seat heat/cool, lights, wipers). CONS: outdated infotainment operating technology, intermittent buzzing/humming near glovebox that can only be heard near idle and with stereo off/low, wiper blades cannot be accessed, less rear cargo room

A big disappointment - 2017 Lexus RX 350
By David Smith - January 4 - 6:15 pmThis is the second RX we have owned. We purchased this RX 350 all wheel drive new in Oct 2016 and wish we had our money back. The first one, many years ago, was really good. This one is a big disappointment. The Info system is just terrible. Voice recognition does not work, not at all, no matter how much training you do. The car seems to be less quite than in the past. Shifting is just strange from time to time. No trouble with it, but just not worth the money with all its faults. I recommend you look elsewhere.

Great ride....Poor Instrumentation - 2017 Lexus RX 350
By RPHBucks - July 18 - 8:09 amThe ride is great and the interior is quite comfortable. Luggage/Cargo space is minimal. The instrumentation with its many switches are scattered about and some are difficult to read without their display lighting on. Some software features do not work and Ive been waiting over 2 weeks for their telephone support to fix the issue. I understand Im not the only one with software issues. Their support personal are not very technically savvy with different answers to the same question. Acceleration is not very quick with a noticeable hesitation. Would probably have purchased another Audi knowing what I know now. Lexus has tried offer a high tech car, but, cant get them all to work and then their support is inadequate.
